About me
Ray Corbitt was born on the outskirts of Atlanta, Georgia. Her father was in the
military and she moved often as his bases changed. She has lived in five countries
and forty-one states. As a young teenager she lost her mother and was in and out of
foster homes until she finished high school. Ray worked in the medical field and in
Law Enforcement and many odd jobs along the way.
She has two sons and one daughter-in-law and unfortunately has buried three
husbands with military honors. Her current home is LaBelle, Florida on the
Caloosahatchee River where she lives with her partner Dave, her Aussie-doodle
Maggie, and a kitten she found on the riverbank named Moses.
Ray has won The Bud Jones Playwright Award for her play ‘Let’s Dance’ and says
the inspiration for her books and plays comes from life experiences and a vivid
imagination.
